BALLOTS WILL MAIL TO YOU MAY 4, 2010

March 24th, 2010

The month of April is your opportunity to know who you are voting for.

Call. Google Search. Go to candidate website. Facebook, tweet, plaxo, etc the

candidate’s name.

KNOW WHO YOU ARE VOTING FOR.  No information on google?  The candidate

has not done anything worthy of your vote.

A lot of information on Google?  Check it out and make an informed decision.

Again, accomplishment is worth your vote.  Absence of substantive, tangible results?

Look again at the candidate’s resumes.  Contact APA at 1-800-323-1470 if you did not

get a resume.

Vote.

PAUL FRANCIS RENNEISEN, for APA PRESIDENT.

A determined leader.  A consensus builder.  It is time to restore our pay.

Your Question?

March 24th, 2010

Do you agree with Paul’s positions?

Do you agree with his accomplishments?

Should we dump our pensions into our taxable paychecks and call that our pay restoration?

Blog in.  Or go to C and R and blog in.

Either way we will get the message.

Thanks for blogging.

ISSUES: MANDATORY ARBITRATION NOT!

March 24th, 2010

A letter to the editor by AMR agent Jeff Brundage demanding binding arbitration for pilot pay

at American Airlines is a desperate attempt to stop the inevitable:

RESTORATION OF PAY TAKEN FROM AA PILOTS TO RESTORE AMR PROFITABILITY SEVEN (7) YEARS AGO.

Pilots at American Airlines are ready to do what it takes to “get our money back.”

A phrase often heard that means simply, our routes, our work rules, our pay.  Out sourcing at AMR/AA (called “scope” by the APA) has created intense bitterness to the extent 3 out 4 pilots do not even vote in union elections.

Many of these pilots have found other occupations and wealth building plans knowing they could no longer rely on AMR/AA and their collective bargaining agent, APA for financial security and an aviation career.

The time has come to put an end to this downward spiral.  A true consensus builder is needed.

Who has shown the “get it done” successes in equally bitter disputes in the past?

Only one APA Presidential candidate:  PAUL FRANCIS RENNEISEN.

The longest name on the ballot.  Vote.

See Pay Rates and Bio on this blog for more information.

Thank you for your interest in restoring our careers.

PLAN 2010 AA PILOT PAY-RESTORED!

March 24th, 2010

CONTRACT NOW.  RESTORE OUR PAY NOW.  Get it done.

The consensus is done by the Board of Directors.  The APA President must lead

the Board to that consensus.  Has Paul Renneisen done it before?  Did the two-tier B plan

pensions get fixed?  Did the contentious Credit Union problems get fixed, AACU adopted

many of the innovations brought by the APA Federal Credit Union Paul organized at the

direction of the APA Board of Directors?

YES ON ALL COUNTS.

Leadership.  It is out front bringing consensus.  That is what Paul has done.

Vote the longest name on the APA Presidential Ballot.  PAUL FRANCIS RENNEISEN

Contract

September 15th, 2006

Paul -

1997 contract with 2001 rates? I hope you guys are auditioning for the Comedy Shack in New York City, because this is a joke.

How long are we going to sit back and take it? As an A300 Captain (73 hrs avg. pay) I received $2,500 less in compensation then my father received flying an L-1011 nearly 27 years ago! Forget all the other facts, we have sat back and watched as our careers have been decimated.

A second year FedEx FO makes more than a 20 year AA FO! Since when are we comparing ourselves to cargo pilots?

The major problem is marketing. Go ask Madison Ave. They can sell anything to anyone. Think about all those Realtor commercials you see and hear now. How about those Plumber’s union or Architect commercials? Why, because, they see the writing on the walls. They know that to protect their careers they need to protect their image. And contrary to what Captain Hettermann would have you believe, protecting our image has nothing to do with wearing or not wearing that 1970’s throw-back, polyester hat! If image was tied to our hats then so should the pay, adjusted for inflation of course. While were on the image thing how about we start with the nice, NOT, leather jacket. Gee, that’s really professional looking!

As I was saying, you want to fix the Airline Pilot career, start with marketing ourselves and what we do. What we really do. Stop telling your neighbors and friends how easy it is to fly and they’ll stop assuming that all you do is “push buttons.”

You are what you convince people to believe you are. If general public thinks you are worthless, guess what, you are! 9/11 left a tidal wave of respect for police and firefighters. Prior to 9/11 they fought tooth and nail to support pay raises. Guess what? Many municipalities now have police and firefighters that make more than pilots. Why? Image is everything. Think about it!
